I particularly love this piece: The man knew no prayers, but he understood the holiness of the day, so he simply chanted the aleph-bet, consoling himself that if every prayer was made of the aleph-bet, then surely if he chanted the letters long enough, they would arrange themselves into prayers on their way to God.
